Our new Vision Statement, Mission Statement and Values

In January of 2011, the congregation of Meewasin Valley United Church voted to become a Progressive Christian community and adopted exciting new Vision and Mission statements, which will embrace the Values as follows:

To be a Progressive Christian community
of the United Church of Canada,

living in right relationship with ourselves, others and the universe.

MVUC Mission Statement

We are an emerging spiritual community

growing out of the Christian tradition.

We celebrate spiritual energy and mystery

as we are challenged to a life of radical love,

as modelled by Jesus and others,

exploring and acting upon our values.

We seek to support one another in our differences

as we journey through times of harmony, chaos,

and ultimately, growth.
